For our second anniversary, my King and I decided to have brunch at Moshulu Restaurant & Deck, a lovely floating eatery located on Penn’s Landing. An all-you-can-eat buffet featured omelette, waffle, pastry, entrée, and dessert stations as well as unlimited champagne drinks – belinis, kir royals, and mimosas.
My attention went straight towards the pastries and desserts which were all delicious, particularly the pain au chocolate and berry parfait. The champagne drinks were actually made with a decent amount of champagne and the entrées were well prepared for buffet food. Being a child of the Coastal Carolinas, I am quite picky about seafood. However, the crab cakes and shrimp cocktail did not disappoint. Overall, the food was tasty, but just as important, the novelty of having brunch on a ship was fun.
I recommend Moshulu for tourists visiting Penn’s Landing, as well as locals looking to try something outside the neighborhood for date night. I’d be interested in seeing the ship at night and checking out their evening menu.
Moshulu is located at 401 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA. You can visit Moshulu’s website at moshulu.com.
Happy anniversary my King!
