While driving to a rental home in the Pocono Mountains, I spotted a sign with a cute Buddha smiling in the picture. It read, Popcorn Buddha. I told my husband that I wanted to check it out. We road over on the last day of our trip, a Sunday, so I figured they would be closed. I figured wrong and we entered into what could only be described as a popcorn lover’s heaven.
Popcorn Buddha makes over 80 different flavors of popcorn in their little popper factory, including such delights as Philly Cheesesteak, Vanilla, Bacon Ranch, and Maple Brown Sugar. The popcorn is made fresh daily using coconut oil and they will ship the flavor of your choice right to your home. The girls working the store were polite and helpful, encouraging us to sample something that caught our attention. I tried the Eternal Flame, the hottest flavor – very good.
Popcorn Buddha is available for special events such as baby showers and graduations. There are many containers to choose from for seemingly every occassion imaginable. A couple came in to ask about favors for their wedding while we decided on our purchase.
We purchased a block of peanut butter fudge and two bags of popcorn – chocolate and caramel. We also brougt back to Philadelphia lots of treats for our parents and siblings. I’d been searching for a canvas bag to carry around on the daily and decided on gifting myself with a cute Popcorn Buddha bag. Love it!
Popcorn Buddha is located at 266 River Rd. in East Stroudsburg, PA. You can visit their website at popcornbuddhausa.com.
