Girard Ave. Estate Sale Haul

Today was my first day venturing out into the estate sale world. My first stop was in Roxborough, Philadelphia where I picked up some lovely treasures which you can check out here.

Next, I drove over to the Temple University area where I met a lovely family whose beloved uncle had died. He’d been an educator and avid traveler with a home filled with African masks, handmade soaps, and lots and lots of books on everything having to do with African-American studies.

IMG_2077A little girl kept me company as I poked around and she impressed me so that I was suprised to find out that she was only three years of age. While admiring the culturally rich surroundings, I picked up a few books, long matches, glass beads, and some beautiful wall art that I plan to use at Heirloom.

The lovely woman organizing the sale gave me a wonderful gift before departing of handmade soap, hand creme, and bath salts. Feeling so blessed!

Today’s inspiration: “The Universe is abundant with everything that you want. It’s not testing you. It’s benevolently providing for you. But you are the orchestrater. You are the definer, and you do it through your joyous anticipation. If there is an emotion that you are wanting to foster, that would serve you very, very well, it is positive expectation. It is excited anticipation.” –¬†Abraham
