After a trip to San Francisco last year, I read an article in “Fresh Cup” about an herb shop called Homestead Apothecary. I was a little bummed that I had missed an opportunity to check it out for myself. So of course, I made it a priority to get over to Oakland on my trip to Cali last week. I was not disappointed!

On April 20th, I participated in the free health services section of the Uhuru Health Fest & Flea Market which took place in Clark Park, West Philadelphia. I transferred the gift of Reiki healing to 17 festival attendees and spoke with many others on the advantages of alternative medicine and energy healing.
The African People’s Education and Defense Fund has posted a side-show and article about the workshop I conducted last weekend, “Holistic Health & Intro to Reiki.” You can find the article here. I am so thankful for that opportunity and am looking forward to spreading more knowledge about healing and divine-empowerment! You can read the text of the article after the jump…
Thank you African People’s Education and Defense Fund and Uhuru Furniture for launching the Health in Our Hands Series and allowing me to present the ajualuv workshop, “Holistic Health & Intro to Reiki”. I appreciate your sincere efforts at creating a more healthy environment for African people.
