Heirloom is a proud supporter of the Uhuru Health Festival and Flea Market. The 2016 market season kicks off on Saturday, April 23 from 9 am to 5 pm in Clark Park (Philadelphia, PA). Stop by the Heirloom table for organic herbal tea blends, bohemian house wares, and heartwarming smiles!
From the Organizer: “The Uhuru Health Festival will be a FREE, all-day event featuring health and exercise workshops, live music, dance, food giveaways, 100 + flea market vendors and guest speakers including African People’s Education and Defense Fund (APEDF) President Ona Zene’ Yeshitela.”
We always have an amazing time at this event and we hope that you will join us so that you too can experience a beautiful, communal day! Uhuru!
We just wanted to give a huge thank you shout out to Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles for another amazing year. Uhuru Flea Market is our favorite vending space because of the beautiful vibes created by the other vendors, customers, and of course the organizers. We are so grateful to Ali, Tiffany, Opa, Joe, Harris, Ruby, Janus, Moody, Cate, and all of those integral to making the Uhuru Flea Market a grand success. We are excited for next year and are looking forward to participating in upcoming events. Uhuru!

The African People’s Education and Defense Fund has posted a side-show and article about the workshop I conducted last weekend, “Holistic Health & Intro to Reiki.” You can find the article here. I am so thankful for that opportunity and am looking forward to spreading more knowledge about healing and divine-empowerment! You can read the text of the article after the jump…
Thank you African People’s Education and Defense Fund and Uhuru Furniture for launching the Health in Our Hands Series and allowing me to present the ajualuv workshop, “Holistic Health & Intro to Reiki”. I appreciate your sincere efforts at creating a more healthy environment for African people.
