We just wanted to take a moment to thank all of the participants and organizers of “Welcome to Yoniville.” Heirloom was contacted to conduct a Reiki demonstration and speak on energy healing. We had no idea how much we were going to enjoy the presentations, discussions, and divine feminine energy. Our Heirloom Bohemian Boutique products were a huge hit, offering the women a nice array of organic teas, metaphysical tools, and healing body steams and soaks. The discussions on topics from business to health were all informative and delivered from the heart. A huge thank you to Barbara Verneus for all of her hard work in coordinating this fantastic event!

In the summer of 2012, I sat on my floor meditating when a voice seemed to fill the silence. It simply said, very clearly, “Reiki.” I thought, what? I had heard of Reiki but didn’t know very much about it. I made the decision to listen to the voice and promptly began researching Reiki programs in the area. I found one presenting an open house in the coming weeks and registered. Since that time, I have completed Reiki levels one and two. Besides the obvious health benefit of relaxing the body, the most important lesson that I am learning from this energy healing system, is that of becoming more in tune with intuition and listening to that small inner voice that only has your best interest at heart.
I keep a copy of the Reiki precepts in my bedroom and at my desk to remind me of what is important and how I can remain sane in an increasingly chaotic world. Starting my day by reading these precepts helps to keep my vibrations high and mind focused. Maybe they will help you too so I wanted to share. Sending out love and light to everyone!
On April 20th, I participated in the free health services section of the Uhuru Health Fest & Flea Market which took place in Clark Park, West Philadelphia. I transferred the gift of Reiki healing to 17 festival attendees and spoke with many others on the advantages of alternative medicine and energy healing.
This past weekend I gave free ten-minute Reiki treatments to visitors of a local neighborhood health fair located in the East Falls Fitness gym in Philadelphia, PA. I was so excited to give Reiki to those who had never experienced it. Everyone came away feeling soothed and relaxed. Some didn’t want to leave the chair. Others claimed to benefit from physical relief.
The African People’s Education and Defense Fund has posted a side-show and article about the workshop I conducted last weekend, “Holistic Health & Intro to Reiki.” You can find the article here. I am so thankful for that opportunity and am looking forward to spreading more knowledge about healing and divine-empowerment! You can read the text of the article after the jump…
Thank you African People’s Education and Defense Fund and Uhuru Furniture for launching the Health in Our Hands Series and allowing me to present the ajualuv workshop, “Holistic Health & Intro to Reiki”. I appreciate your sincere efforts at creating a more healthy environment for African people.
